REGISTRATION BY MAIL

The registration form (if mailed) must be postmarked by the third Friday prior to the election in question. Upon receipt of the registration form, the election commission will send you a permanent voter information card for you to keep. This card will contain polling place information and list the districts in which you reside (i.e. school district, legislative district etc.). If you mail your form in, please provide either your driver's license number or last four digits of your social security number in the appropriate area of the registration form. REGISTRATION IN PERSON

The deadline to register in person at the Election Commission is the second Friday prior the election in question. Registrations can be completed during our regular business hours (8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, Excluding Holidays).
 
The deadline to register in person at any other location (i.e. public libraries, Department of Motor Vehicles Offices) is the third Friday prior to the election in question.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible to vote, you must be a registered voter. In order to register, you must:

• Be a United States Citizen
• Be at least 18 years of age or will be 18 on or before the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November
• Live in the State of Nebraska
• Have not been convicted of a felony, or if convicted, your sentence and parole have been completed longer than two years ago (Click here to learn more)
